Our Story
At DBI Home Care, our mission is to restore dignity, comfort, and joy to the lives of those we serve one home, one family, one person at a time.
Founded by a mother-and-son team, Darlene and Michael. Dream, Believe, Inspire was born from a deeply personal understanding of what it means to care for loved ones in times of need. We’ve witnessed firsthand how powerful it is when care is delivered not in a facility—but in the warmth and familiarity of home.
Our journey began with our own family. After watching our beloved grandfather’s health and spirit decline in a nursing home, we brought him home—and the transformation was undeniable. His energy, smile, and sense of peace returned. That experience changed everything. We knew then that no one should settle for “just getting by” when it comes to care.
We created DBI Home Care—Dream. Believe. Inspire.—to provide reliable, compassionate, Medicaid-supported home care that puts families first. Our mission is to give others the same peace of mind we were able to find, by building a team of caregivers who treat every client like their own family.

We verify past employment and require multiple professional and personal references to confirm each candidate’s experience and character. - Skills Assessment & Written Exam
Every caregiver must pass a home-care-specific exam with a minimum score of 80%, testing their knowledge of safety, aging care, and real-world caregiving scenarios. - Mandatory Orientation & Ongoing Education
New hires complete a comprehensive orientation covering client rights, safety, and DBI’s care philosophy. We also provide ongoing training to keep our team up to date with best practices and evolving care standards.
